80 page brochure for "Kurosawa: a retrospective. 26 Films by Akira Kurosawa, October 9 - December 20, 1981." These films were screened in New York by the Japan Society as part of the events celebrating the Society's 75th anniversary. The programme contains a series of features on Kurosawa's life and work followed by two pages on each of the films and is richly illustrated throughout with b & w photos. Also included are two photocopied items relating to Kurosawa's film "Dodeskaden" (1970) - an interview from Cinema (USA), Spring 1972 and a small publicity flier.
