This is a bound edition of issues of "Picture Show" magazine released between January 1942 and December 1942. Each issue contains reviews of upcoming and currently running films, pictorial features on films containing plot points and photographs, gossip about stars and their films, a short story retelling of a films plot, and an article on fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Phoebe Tallow, taking over from her husband George who originally wrote these articles before going away to war, reviews a film with accompanying anecdotes about family life during wartime.
