Collection of 4 clippings from various sources. The clippings are: 1. 'Idols under interrogation' by Susannah Herbert, 'The Daily Telegraph', 3 December 1997. Account of wartime Resistance heroes Lucie and Raymond Aubrac. The subject of a film by Claude Berri, starring Carole Bouquet and Daniel Auteuil, certain factual aspects of the Aubracs' exploits were subsequently disputed though not proven to be inaccurate. 2. 'The One That Got Away' - the story of Franz von Werra, the only German POW to escape from Allied custody in WW2, a feat recounted in a book and film of the same title in the 1950s. The story was subsequently researched by author Dilip Sarkar and published as 'Through Peril to the Stars' in 1993. It is recounted again here. 3. 'Clash of the titans' by David Weston, 'The Daily Telegraph Magazine', 26 November 2016. Recollections by David Weston of acting with Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris in 'The Heroes of Telemark' (1965) and of the rivalry between the two men. 4. 'Time flies as royal mechanic thanks Sgt Heston's heroes' by Alan Hamilton - account of the opening of the American Air Museum at Duxford, Cambridgeshire in a ceremony attended by the Queen and Charlton Heston.
